Biden & Trump 2020
On CLIMATE CHANGE
A STARK DIFFERENCE
With Bob DiBenedetto
& Katherine Congdon
2020 Presidential Candidates on Climate Change. There IS a difference.
While the overwhelming majority of environmentalists are clear about which party prioritizes environmental issues, we were motivated to create this show to respond to those who are still conflicted and fear that beneath-the-surface the two major parties may be more alike than different.
With the long-awaited election almost here, this show clearly answers that concern. The climate change positions of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, versus Donald Trump and Mike Pence, are starkly different.
Join Bob DiBenedetto with Co-Host Katherine Congdon for an extensive examination of the stances of the 2020 Presidential candidates. They explore not only the stated positions, but the long records and recent actions of the candidates on climate change and related environmental issues.
This is essential information for all environmental voters to hear.
Listen to find out:
• why the actions taken by our elected officials in the next four years are critical to our success or failure in addressing climate change.
• why the very best experts from across the globe warn us that our society’s very stability over the coming decades is at stake, should we fail to take action.
• which presidential candidates’ decades-long records received single-digit scores from a consensus of experts from about 20 respected environmental and conservation organizations.
• which candidate received the title ‘Dirtiest of All Time’ by the environmental watch group whose ratings have been the gold standard for the public to evaluate the environmental records of members of Congress.
• how the current administration has been engaging in a “fire sale” of our pristine public lands, virtually giving them away to miners, drillers, and more.
• which candidate’s plan prioritizes the clean energy sector that already employs twice as many U.S. workers as the entire fossil fuel industry.
• which candidate’s fuel efficiency standards would save many lives, reduce preterm births, remove huge amounts of pollution from the air, and save consumers hundreds of billions while being supported by 13 major auto manufacturers.
• which candidate’s clean energy plan will result in the creation of many more jobs than dying fossil fuel industries.
• which candidate prioritizes short term profit over lives, long term return-on-investment, global leadership in clean energy technologies.
… and much more!
