The Joy and Rewards
of Eating (Green)
With iEat Green’s Founder,
Chef, Longtime Green Activist
Bhavani Jaroff
LISTEN HERE: The Joy and Rewards of Eating (Green) with Bhavani Jaroff
Show Description:
Many would agree that one of life’s greatest joys is the act of eating. While most of us are fortunate enough to eat every day, each meal can still manage to be an exciting and welcome event. Consider how much more fulfilling this act would be if every bite we took not only contributed to our own vibrant personal health but also helped create a more balanced, sustainable ecosystem.
Join HealthyPlanet’s Bob DiBenedetto for a discussion that explores both the joys and benefits of eating a diet that honors the land it’s grown on, the body it sustains, and the farmers who cultivate it. He and guest co-host Dominic Lampasi engage in a probing conversation with Bhavani Jaroff, a natural food chef specializing in vegan international cuisine, longtime green food activist, and founder of iEat Green.
Founded on a passion for delicious food, healthy lifestyles, and reducing one’s global footprint, iEat Green provides chef services, cooking classes, organic teaching gardens, and educational demos to everybody from organizations to families.
This engaging conversation delves into the pleasures of the table, how eating as a social experience for families, friends and co-workers can help to transform our world, one bite at a time. Bhavani shares her passion for food, while outlining the important work of organizations dedicated to safeguarding our growing lands, such as Slow Food and the Northeast Organic Farming Association.
Listen in to deepen your connection to the planet that sustains us, the community that supports us, and to our bodies that make our journey through this life possible.
